Asks people to use vote for empowerment

Srinagar, May 23 (KNS): Senior National Conference leader and former judge Jammu and Kashmir High Court Justice (Retd) Hasnain Masoodi has credited his historical victory from Anantnag parliamentary constituency to National Conference leaders particularly party president Farooq Abdullah and vice president Omar Abdullah.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS) after the declaration of the result, Justice (Retd) Masoodi said “the challenges confronting Kashmir identity were throughout my campaigning discussed and debated with the people at grass roots and I was encouraged by the overwhelming response from the people in every town and village in all the four districts of south Kashmir. People should cast their votes for their empowerment so that anti-Kashmir forces don’t get an opportunity to occupy positions of public representatives.”

Saying that Kashmir’s political identity revolving around Article 370 and Article 35-A is the priority both for him in person and as well as the party, Masoodi thanked all those who contributed for his victory in the parliamentary elections.” (KNS)
