Srinagar, August 10 (KNS) A Srinagar resident has publicly apologised for sharing a misleading video that wrongly accused doctors at SMHS Hospital of negligence.
The video, which quickly went viral on social media platforms, depicted a patient allegedly being denied medical attention. However, hospital authorities have clarified that the patient received prompt and appropriate treatment, including oxygen support and other necessary care.
The individual behind the video, identified as Parvez Ahmad Dar from Rainawari, has admitted that the claims made in the clip were unfounded. In a formal statement, Dar expressed regret over his actions, confirmed the patient was indeed treated properly, and appealed to the public to delete the video from all platforms.

Hospital authorities welcomed the apology but condemned the spread of “unverified and unethical content” that undermines public confidence in medical institutions.
They stressed the importance of responsible social media use and urged the cyber police to take appropriate action against individuals and page administrators who shared the video without verifying its authenticity.
“This incident highlights the vital role our healthcare workers play and the need to protect their dignity against false narratives,” a senior hospital official said.(KNS).
