Srinagar, Jun 19 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik paid tributes to Mirwaiz South Kashmir Doctor Moulana Qazi Nisar on his martyrdom day.
Terming Qazi as ‘a prolific Kashmiri scholar, Religious, Political and Social leader’, Malik in a statement issued to KNS said that “his struggle and sacrifices cannot be ignored by any one and today we all express our gratitude and love for that noble soul.”
Malik said that “personalities like Mirwaiz Qazi Nisar are rarely born and today when we remember this great soul, we recall his sacrifices, valor and passion for freedom.”

Malik visited SKIMS Soura where he enquired about the health condition of a injured Kashmiri Abdul Majeed Waar from Soura who has become the latest victim of pellet terrorism and was hit on his head on Eid Day.
He met with his family and doctors attending him and enquired about his health condition.
JKLF chairman on the occasion said that from the last day of holy month Ramadhan, oppression in entire valley has risen to new heights and three innocents including Vikas Ahmad, Zeeshan Ahmad and Ajaz Ahmad have fallen to the bullets of oppression while as hundreds stand critically injured including Abdul Majeed Waar of Soura.
He said that nocturnal raids, arbitrary arrests, harassment and humiliation of innocent people and torturing households have also risen to an alarming height and arrest of dozens of innocents at Pulwama, Shupian, Kulgam, Islamabad and other places is a glaring example of this growing oppression by India and which is highly condemnable.
A delegation from Shupian today visited JKLF office at Srinagar and informed JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik about the oppression unleashed by forces in various villages. Delegation provided the information of various young boys who have been arrested and tortured by forces in recent days.
Delegation said that recently Army and SOG raided the residence of a journalist Syed Tajamul Imran at Nazneenpora Shupian during night; forces searched their residence from 11:30 to 2:00 AM, caught hold of Syed Tajamul and his younger brother Syed Ruban and tortured them ruthlessly in front of their parents.
“Forces even took photographs of little Syed Ruban after placing Rifles on him which actually has worried the family a lot. It was only after torturing and humiliating the whole family that forces left the village,” the statement said.
Malik while strongly condemning this brutality of Army and SOG, said that this atrocious attitude has pushed thousands of young Kashmiris to the wall resulting in promoting violence and destruction in Jammu Kashmir.
JKLF chairman while expressing solidarity with the delegation said that tyranny and suppression will surely end and it is the oppressed people that will have the last laugh..
