Srinagar, Mar 13 (KNS): Chairman of JKLF, Muhammad Yasin Malik has expressed his heartfelt grief and sorrow over the demise of senior religious scholar Moulana Muhammad Ismaiel Asri and the grandmother of JKLF district president Pulwama Javed Ahmad Butt.
According to the statement issued to KNS, Moulana Muhammad Ismaiel Asri who breathed his last today was a veteran religious scholar, editor of Muslim and principal of Salfia Arabic College for women.
“His knowledge about Arabic, Urdu and Persian languages was unique and he has written many books on Islam. He has left thousands of students behind him and was known as the teacher of teachers among religious circles,” the statement added.
Malik while paying tributes to late Moulana, said that “he was a humble soul and today when he has left this world, we all pray to Allah almighty for his heavenly abode.”
While expressing his condolences to the bereaved family of JKLF district president Pulwama Javed Ahmad Butt whose grandmother died yesterday, Malik prayed for her heavenly abode too.
A JKLF delegation comprising of JKLF zonal president Noor Muhammad Kalwal and Ashraf Bin Salam visited Pulwama and expressed solidarity with the bereaved family of the deceased mother. (KNS)
