Seeks KCC loan amnesty in Zero Hour

New Delhi, Dec 19 (KNS): During the Zero Hour session of Parliament, Member of Parliament from Jammu and Kashmir, Chowdry Mohammad Ramzan, raised serious concern over the acute distress faced by farmers, orchardists and saffron growers in the Valley.

He highlighted the heavy losses suffered due to natural disasters and the consistent closure of the Jammu–Srinagar National Highway for nearly a month during the peak season this year, which resulted in rotting fruit consignments and severe financial hardship for growers.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He pointed out that mounting losses have left orchardists unable to repay their Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans, pushing them into deep debt.

He demanded a special relief package for the agriculture and horticulture sectors, KCC loan amnesty, and the dedicated railway services to ensure timely transportation of fruits when highways remain blocked.(KNS)
