Uri, sEPT 30 (KNS) : A special programme was organized at the 12 Infantry Brigade under the leadership of Brigade Commander Manis sagal, who since his posting in Uri has been consistently working to strengthen coordination and harmony between civilians and the Army.
In a press Release Issued ,The event, titled “Friends 11”, brought together experienced members of the law, administration, and police, with the aim of fostering stronger collaboration across different sectors. MLA Uri was also invited to participate in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, participants highlighted the shared vision of working collectively for the overall development of Uri, with a goal to transform it into a Model Town. MLA of Uri Dr sajjad delivered a special message to the youth. He encouraged them to work hard and assured them of his full support, stating: “Wherever the youth need me, if they walk two steps, I will walk four steps with them.
He emphasized that his top priority is to address the challenge of unemployment. The MLA mentioned that two major projects — Uri-II second phase and the Railway project — are coming up, and he will ensure that the youth of Uri are given opportunities in these initiatives. He also expressed hope for the revival of the Mohura Project, stressing that such developments will open doors for local employment.
The MLA called for collective efforts with the public to build a better future for Uri and urged the youth to stay away from drugs, saying: “Say no to drugs.”(kns)
