Budgam Aug 17 (KNS) MLA Chadoora Ali Mohammad Dar on Sunday under his public outreach programme visited Alamdar Colony Gopalpora where he met local residents and gave them assurance that their long pending demand of improper drainage system would be addressed on priority basis.

In a statement issued , MLA Chadoora was invited by the Welfare Committee Iqbal Lane Alamdar Bagh Colony Gopalpora who apprised him about their grievances especially with regard to frequent Waterlogging in the area. MLA Ali Mohammad Dar assured to get it addressed by taking up the issue with Horticulture and Irrigation Ministers soon. Welfare Committee President Abdul Rashid Sofi and General Secretary Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat presented Memorandum (Sipasnama) to the Hon MLA. Local respected citizens including Abdul Rashid Baba, Mohammad Rafiq Khan, Syed Arshad, Mohammad Afzal Bhat , Dr Mushtaq Khan, Farooq Ahmad Bepari and others were also present in the meeting.

Social Activist Dr Raja Muzaffar who happens to be the local resident of the area also apprised MLA about the problems faced by local residents and suggested to him to meet concerned Ministers and senior officers so that a proper water drainage system is put in place at Alamdar Bagh Colony Gopalpora Chadoora.(KNS)
