Srinagar, Aug 31 (KNS): Lt Gen Yogesh Kumar Joshi assumed command of the ‘Fire & Fury Corps’, as it’s 17th Corps Cdr, from Lt Gen SK Upadhya.
In his farewell message, Lt Gen SK Upadhya thanked all ranks of Fire & Fury Corps for their professionalism and steadfast dedication in the service of the nation.
Lt Gen Joshi has commanded a Brigade and a Division in this sector, in addition to command of his unit at Dras during Operation VIJAY in 1999.
Prior to assuming the appointment of GOC, Fire & Fury Corps, he tenanted the appointment of Director General, Infantry. On taking over, he exhorted all ranks to continue discharging their duties with the same commitment and zeal. (KNS)
