LoP Sunil Sharma Meets LG Sinha, Seeks Urdu Exemption in Naib Tehsildar Exam

Jammu, June 12 (KNS): Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today and urged him to address concerns of Naib Tehsildar aspirants. He was joined by J&K BJP President Sat Sharma.

Sharma requested that Urdu should not be a mandatory requirement for the Naib Tehsildar examination, pointing out that the Union Territory has five official languages and enforcing one creates an unfair barrier, especially for aspirants from the Jammu Division.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

He said this policy goes against the principle of equal opportunity and requested the Lieutenant Governor to consider allowing all official languages in recruitment exams.

The BJP leaders also appealed for government documents and procedures to be translated into all five official languages of Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
