Srinagar, Mar 26 (KNS): Peoples Conference (PC) candidate, Irfan Raza Ansari on Tuesday filed nomination papers for the upcoming parliamentary polls from Srinagar-Budgam constituency.
Irfan Ansari was accompanied by party chairman and former minister Sajad Gani Lone, PC General Secretary Imran Ansari, PC senior leader Abid Ansari, Junaid Azim Matoo and other leaders today in front of District Election Officer (DEO) Srinagar, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary.
Earlier, NC president Dr. Farooq Abdullah and BJP candidate, Khalid Jahangir filed their nomination papers for the Srinagar constituency on Monday.
After filing the nomination papers, Irfan while talking to KNS said that he will work for the development of Srinagar constituency, which has neglected so far by the successive candidates. He said that Srinagar constituency became political victim.
He added that his priority will be the youth who have been ignored so far, adding that he hope the youth will come out and cast their ballots in his favour to ensure the visible change on ground.
Irfan also said that he will raise the voice of people at parliament as per their aspirations.
He added both NC president and vice president are claiming to be Member of Parliament and Chief Minister respectively even without going for polls. “How can they come up with the verdict even before going for the polls,” he said.
Irfan further said that Dr. Farooq always remained non-serious towards the people of Jammu and Kashmir especially towards Srinagar constituency. He added that Dr. Farooq has started campaigning in New Delhi, leaving his home place at God’s mercy, adding that he should have focused on his own home rather than going for New Delhi in special flight.
He said that people especially youth must not boycott the elections to get respite from ‘Baap-Beta raaj’. “Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah has made Kashmiris as slaves and it’s mandatory for youth to come out and do Jihad against such slavery as the boycott always help NC to emerge victorious in the polls,” he added.
Irfan further added that people must identify their real friends and enemies in this election. (KNS)
