LPL Begins in Langate, Inaugural Played

Langate October 17:(KNS) The Inaugural match of Langate Premier Leauge (LPL) played on Saturday at Panditpora Quaziabad Sports ground in Langate.
The inaugural match was played between Abdullah Sports vs Sports Club Shatgund Bating first, Sports Club Shatgund put a poor total of 59 runs on the score board. Sports Club was never in the hunt as they lost wickets at regular intervals. None of their batsmen was able to put a decent show with the willow and the entire team was bundled out on 57 runs.
 The Abdullah Sports were playing on home ground and finished the inaugural match in less than 8 over’s without losing a wicket.
In this one sided competition . Abdullah Sports easily defeated its rival Sports Club by 10 wickets. The occasion was graced by BDC Chairman Qaziabad, Bashir Ahmad, BDC chairman Qalamabad, Tahir Aftab, BDC Chairman Langate, Showket Hassan Pandit, Sarpanch Halqa, Jaffar Hussain and many respected citizens,, Inculuding Shabir Ahmad, Farooq Ahmad, Lateef Ahmad, media professionals, were also present on the occasion.
This is one of the biggest cricket event of North Kashmir, in which 64 teams from different panchyats across the Langate Consistency will take part. The management has decided to honour the winning team with 1 lac 16 thousand cash prize and runner with 30 thousand. The each team has to pay 3 thousand as participation fee. Man of the match and free balls will be served in every match.
The Langate Premier League is being conducted every 2nd year by former MLA and AIP President Er Rashid and the present one is being held for the 4th time . (KNS).
Two young and experniced cricketers from Langate, Sheikh Manzoor and Naseer Ah Malla were match umpires. They both have a good and fair track record in cricket.

Yaseen talie was declared man of the match. Famous cricket commentator Tanver Dar and Khurshid Reshi were also present and were honoured with a Trophies. The event was played under proper covid19 guidelines and SOP were strictly (KNS)
