LG Manoj Sinha to Hand Over Job Letters to 250 Families of Terror Victims on August 5

Srinagar, August 4 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha will hand over appointment letters to 250 families of terror victims on August 5, 2025, at SKICC Srinagar, in a major step toward recognizing and supporting those who have suffered from terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.

The families selected are from across North, Central, and South Kashmir, and include those who lost loved ones in attacks carried out by terrorist outfits such as Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), and Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) over the past three decades.

These victims—many of whom were civilians and primary earners—faced brutal violence, including mutilation and public executions, aimed at spreading fear. The violence has affected districts such as Baramulla, Bandipora, Kupwara, Budgam, Ganderbal, Srinagar, Pulwama, Shopian, and Anantnag.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

For years, the families of these victims endured economic hardship, emotional trauma, and social neglect. Despite their immense losses, many received little public acknowledgment or institutional support. Often sidelined by society, their pain remained unheard.

Now, under the leadership of the Lieutenant Governor, efforts are being made to acknowledge their sacrifice and offer tangible support. This initiative follows similar efforts earlier this year, where 40 families received appointment letters in Baramulla on July 13, and 80 more families were supported at a function held in Jammu on July 28.(KNS)
