Kashmir reports first Covid-19 death

 

 

Srinagar, Mar 26 (KNS): A 65-year-old man infected with the coronavirus died at Chest Disease (CD) hospital Dalgate, on Wednesday Srinagar in the early hours of Thursday, Kashmir’s first recorded death due to the disease, an official twitter handle of Government said . The man had a medical history of illness with Sugar, hypertension and obesity. "Despite our best efforts, the COVID19 positive patient at Chest Disease Hospital, passed away due to cardiac arrest. The patient had medical history of prolonged illness with Sugar, hypertension, obesity," reports said.
Meanwhile government spokesman Rohi Kansal in tweet has confirmed the first death due coronavirus his tweet reads “Sad News first death due to coronavirus 65 old man form hyderpora Srinagar four of his contacts also tested positive yesterday the tweet said.
Mayor Srinagar city Junaid Azim Mattu have appealed the people to breakt eh chain and stay indoors (KNS)
