TEDx Dal Lake’s latest meeting shows why Kashmir must create its own space for new ideas, young voices, and global-level conversations

TEDx Dal Lake’s recent strategic meeting in Srinagar reflects an important shift happening in Kashmir. It shows that the Valley is now ready to build a serious platform for ideas, creativity, and leadership. This is not just another event; it is an effort to give Kashmir’s thinkers, innovators, and young creators the space they deserve.

The organizers Irfan Attari, RJ Umar Nisar, and Dr. Amit Wanchoo have taken a bold step by bringing together content creators, educators, and entrepreneurs. Their message is simple: Kashmir has stories worth sharing, and the world should hear them. For too long, discussions about Kashmir have focused only on its problems. This initiative gives a chance to highlight the people who are actually trying to solve those problems.

The participation of young digital creators is especially important. Today, they shape public conversation more than traditional institutions. Their involvement means the platform will be rooted in real voices the voices of a generation that wants to tell its own story instead of being spoken for.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Intellectuals and professionals at the meeting spoke about doing this with discipline, creativity, and respect for global TED standards. They want TEDx Dal Lake to be a fine example of how Kashmir can balance local identity with international quality. If done right, this event can become a symbol of what the region truly stands for: resilience, imagination, and growth.

The chosen theme, Changemakers of Kashmir, captures exactly what the Valley needs right now recognition of the people who are quietly working to make society better.

The meeting ended with unity and purpose, but the real work starts now. Kashmir must continue building platforms like TEDx Dal Lake so that its thinkers do not remain hidden. The Valley is full of talent and potential. What it needs is the courage to bring these ideas to the world.
