While as Zameer Ashaie, Neelam singh Shabir Hakak, Shahid Gullfam and others have played side roles in this film, they opines that, together we (people) can bring changes in this society and equally Journalist can play an important role in curbing the anti social practices, as it does here in this film so that society could be made drug free society.

Director cum Producer, Hussain Khan told KNS that, “it was his dream to make a Bollywood pattern film Kashmir Daily that took him and his crew almost 3 to 4 years in its completion.
The role of a Journalist was played by, noted actor of Kashmir Sarwar Khan who did his best to expose the drug trafficking in Kashmir valley. One can understand that Kashmir (Paradise on Earth) is engulfed with drugs now, our youth gets involved into it, said Director.
He said that, Journalist being a fourth pillar of the democracy has every right to work for the betterment of society without any personal interests; he is the voice of voiceless masses and people trusts and appreciates his works, despite the fact that Journalists faces challenges in his daily affairs, but is it not true that, responsibility also lies on his shoulders to get rid of this social menace that has ruined our beautiful place and assets.
I myself had been associated with journalism since 2001 to 2008 and I have gone through many challenges, even though I also enjoyed it to the full extent, but what makes it a different for journalist to highlight the problems of our society, be it a drug paddling or addiction among the youth, expressed Hussian.
He said that, Journalist is a watchdog of society; it becomes his moral responsibility to expose the wrong doings that happens in his society, he can make the people accountable by his caliber and good intentions.
I believe that, “Kashmir is a full of talent and we must endorse it but unfortunately we are lacking of infrastructure. Kashmir film industry has remained a dream for him and his fellow members. We have a cordial atmosphere here, when people from other foreign country can shoot here why not our own directors can shoot in these beautifully laden mountains, green pastures, waterfalls, snow caped hills and other places.
I must say it repeatedly that, Kashmir has no dearth of talent that needs to be explored, journalists should understand their beat of work, their responsibilities, professionalism, they can reform and reshape the society that will help a lot to our forthcoming generations, Khan added.
Senior political leader of congress party said that, “JK is a multi-cultured state, there are many people from our state who works in Bollywood, and they have brought laurels to this state. It would have been better if we would get infrastructure in terms of support from the state and GOI.
“For making a film one needs financial support where our new electronic media/ mass communication students could be absorbed, as they come up with new innovative ideas, they can make documentaries, short films, skits and other programmes, and govt should pay heed towards this, as we have a talent here in Kashmir valley,” said political leader.
Former director DD Kendra Srinagar told that, “we have two big film industries in India, viz a viz in Mumbai and Hyderabad where from people comes to Kashmir for shooting and instead of that, we are losing the ground at our own place.
Kashmir is bestowed with talent, be it a Music Director Jannisar, M Ali Parra or female actress, Zaira Waseem who played a lead role in Dangal which got appreciation from all over the globe, we have Mir Sarwar who has played tremendous roles in many films like Bajrangi Bijan and Fantosh and there many unreported.
He said, due to eruption of militancy in valley, cinema halls remained closed and there was huge loss to the state and center as well, government must think about it. Cinema is not only about romance and thrilling culture, but it transforms the dreams into reality.
After watching the film Kashmir Daily, audiences said that, Kashmir is already under the blanket of unemployment and other socio-economic problems, if film Industry starts here it will provide job to hundreds and thousands of unemployed educated youth.
Geeta Pandita said that, “since I left Kashmir in nineties, everything got derailed from our life, be it our brethren, peace and love that is no were like of Kashmir, the culture, traditions and ethos we are missing like anything.
Kashmir has a full potential to boost the tourism sector through films, though documentaries we can show the world what Kashmir is, Kashmir is negatively portrayed outside the country. I believe that our government should talk to the concerned people, so that it will help the people all over the globe to set a right perspective about the adventures of Kashmir, said Pandita.
Kashmir Daily is a film based upon a journalist who works to expose the drug trafficking in Kashmir, unfortunately youth got distracted towards this social menace and that leads journalist to death as he becomes an eye-opener.
The director cum actor, Hussain Khan brought justice to the deceased journalists who has left no stone unturned in exposing the drug rackets in Kashmir, he feels that finally justice has prevailed and the killers was served death penalty for their deeds. (KNS)
