Kadfeen urges Governor to listen to protesting Anganwari workers

Srinagar, Jul 11 (KNS): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Thursday urged the Jammu and Kashmir Governor to address the concerns of aggrieved Anganwari workers who are objecting to the order of getting salaries from local panchs and sarpanchs.

Kadfeen said there soon after the order was issued by the governor administration, scores of Anganwari workers have hit the streets in various parts of the valley questioning the logic behind the order of linking the salaries of the workers with the nod of local panchs and sarpanchs.

Kadfeen said that there is a dire need that the governor administration address the concerns of the Anganwari workers who have been hitting the streets against the taken in State Administrative Council (SAC) under the chairmanship of Governor Satya Pal Malik to release wages of Anganwadi workers and helpers after obtaining certificate from concerned Sarpanch/Councilors every month.

Kadfeen said that the Anganwari workers have been discharging their duties earnestly in spite of the trying circumstances and that it would be akin to undermining the hard work of these workers if government ignores their voices. (KNS)
