Srinagar, May 21 (KNS): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Monday termed the erratic power supplies in several areas of Amira Kadal constituency worrying and said that the government seems to have turned blind eye towards such crises.

In a statement issued to KNS, Kadfeen said that there are scores of areas of Amira Kadal constituency where people are complaining that the power supplies continue to remain erratic even during the ongoing holy month of Ramadan. He said that the government instead of ensuring better power and water supplies in the constituency is in slumber, caring little in absence of such basic amenities.

Kadfeen said that the non- serious approach of the past helmsmen has plunged the constituency into chaos and its inhabitants are suffering the worst for their no fault at all. “The constituency should have been the prime focus of all the regimes due to its prime location. However, those representing it left it in lurch which resulted in absolute scarcity of basic facilities like good roads, power and water supplies,” said Kadfeen.

He urged the government to ensure proper supply of water and electricity is made in the area so that the inhabitants aren’t made to suffer due to such government apathy. (KNS)
