Jobs, justice ongoing for families lost in terrorism in J&K: LG Manoj Sinha


Jammu, Dec 11 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said that families of terror victims in the region continue to receive government jobs under a special initiative.

Speaking to media persons, Sinha said the campaign, which began on July 13, aims to provide employment opportunities to the families of those who lost their lives in acts of terrorism. 

“Earlier, many people were given letters of approval in this very hall. Today, 41 more individuals, whose family members were killed by terrorists, have been provided government jobs. Sinha acknowledged the large-scale loss of life and property due to terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. 

He said that the administration, in coordination with the Police Commissioner, is processing remaining cases and any genuine claims will be addressed in the coming days. 

“Where FIRs were not registered, investigations will be conducted, and action against culprits will continue. This is a continuous process,” he added.

The LG reiterated that the initiative seeks to ensure justice and livelihood support for families affected by terrorism in the Union Territory.(KNS).
