Salvation Movement condemns arrest spree ahead of 'Million March'

Srinagar, Nov 02 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Salvation Movement today condemned detention of party chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat and other senior pro-freedom leaders ahead of 'Srinagar Million March'.
In an issued statement, Party spokesman slammed puppet authorities for lashing a reign of terror among Kashmiris by arrested known pro-freedom activists, veteran leaders and innocent youth. He said that in past days, forces have launched a massive offensive to arrest innocent youths, Hurriyat activists and senior Hurriyat leaders just to foil the proposed ‘Srinagar Million March’ which is set to awake world community particularly United Nations from its deep slumber. Spokesman condemned the house detention of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, arrest of Shabir Ahmad Shah, Mohd Yasin Malik and other leaders.
He also condemned the arrest of party Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat and said that police has detained dozens of salvation movement activists in different areas of Kashmir valley.
Spokesman again appealed common masses to participate in the 'Srinagar Million March' and expose India's claim. He castigated puppet Chief Minister for saying that he will not allow the march and said that when the pro-freedom leadership has took the responsibility of law and order then what problem the puppet government has?
He said that instead of giving Kashmiris there political and Democratic rights, the puppet government is leaving no stone unturned to foil the marching just to appease the RSS for pity interests and the credibility of Indian democracy is at stake.
Spokesman said that under a well planned conspiracy, puppet government along with the Hindu groups like RSS is trying to implement their anti-Muslim, anti-Kashmir and anti-freedom struggle agenda; however Kashmiris will not allow them to succeed in their envious designs. (KNS)
