J&K Judicial Academy concludes two-week training for Ladakh legal assistants

Jammu, Dec 13 (KNS): The Jammu & Kashmir Judicial Academy concluded a two-week training programme for legal assistants of the Union Territory of Ladakh. The programme, held from December 1 to 12 at the J&K Academy, Janipur, Jammu, was conducted under the patronage of Chief Justice of J&K and Ladakh, Justice Arun Palli.

The valedictory session was attended by Justice Rajnesh Oswal, Judge of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh and Chairperson of the Governing Committee of the Judicial Academy.

Justice Oswal interacted with participants, discussed their learning experiences, and encouraged them to apply their skills for improving institutional efficiency in Ladakh.

Certificates were distributed to all participants during the session.

The programme covered a wide range of subjects, including the constitutional framework, administrative structure of UT governance, land laws, vigilance mechanisms, RTI, CCS rules, BNSS/BNS provisions, drafting skills, tendering and e-procurement procedures, GFR rules, contract law, and preparation of government notifications and orders.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

A field visit was also organised to provide practical exposure to institutional functioning.

Justice Oswal highlighted the importance of honesty, dedication, and punctuality as key attributes of every public servant and appreciated the Academy’s comprehensive, practice-oriented training module.

Mr. Naseer Ahmad Dar, Director of the J&K Judicial Academy, thanked the resource persons, including eminent jurists, senior advocates, academicians, and former judges, for their contribution and reaffirmed the Academy’s commitment to supporting training needs of various departments in the UT of Ladakh.(KNS).
