J&K ICPS, CRC organize one day workshop for CWC Jammu division

Jammu, Jan 19 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Integrated Child Protection Services (JKSICPS) and Jammu Kashmir Child Resource Center (JKCRC) organised One Day Workshop for Child Welfare Committee’s of Jammu Division today.
The workshop aimed at specialized training to Child Welfare Committee’s dealing with procedures and various formats. The role of CWCs in reference to Institutional and Non-Institutional care was highlighted.
In order to make Child Rights a reality emphasis was laid down for developing Child friendly environment across J&K.
Justice Hasnain Masoodi as chief guest on the occasion deliberated on the need of vibrant Child Welfare Committee’s across J&K.
He emphasized on the need of participative approach and dialogue among all stake holders for better and secure future of the children.
G.A. Sofi State Mission Director ICPS and Chairman JKCRC highlighted the role of CWCs in the field of Child Rights and emphasised that it is high time to synergies the efforts of all stake holders for ensuring effective implementation of J&K Juvenile Justice Act in letter and spirit in best interest of the Children.
The resource person, Neha Gandotra, Rahul Sharma, Dr Rouf Mohiudin Malik and Junaid ul Islam, at length deliberated upon different issues and concerns that CWCs and other stake holders vis-a-vis Juvenile Justice System and Child Protection in State. (KNS)
