Srinagar, Feb 27 (KNS): Mother of incarcerated Ghulam Qadir has passed away this morning at her residence in Gushi village of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
The family of Ghulam Qadir told KNS that Mehtaba Begum, 90, died afetr prolonged illness at her residence in Kupwara while her son Ghulam Qadir is still unaware about the death of his mother.
Adnan Qadir, son of Ghulam Qadir said his father is languishing in jail from last 26 years with Qasim Faktoo and is presently lodged at Amphala jail.
He added due to prolonged illness of his grandmother, his father couldn’t see his mother from last over three years.
Adnan added “My mother died in 2009. My grandfather passed away in 1995 but my father was never allowed to see his dear ones for the last time.” (KNS)
