People want Shah Faesal to contest from home constituency

Srinagar, Mar 26 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples’ Movement (JKPM) concludes its first leg of ‘Public Reach-out’ campaign comprising of 3-days in Sogam constituency, Kupwara, today reaching 55 villages in its effort towards building ‘inclusive and participative politics’ to do away from the traditional oppressive politics.

Jammu and Kashmir Peoples’ Movement (JKPM) under the leadership of Dr. Shah Faesal has reached 55 villages in Sogam constituency in Kupwara in just three days and held public meetings under its flagship “Public Reach-out” campaign.

It is evident that IAS-turned politician Shah Faesal has started his politics with a difference and has laid more stress on understanding people at grassroot level and is trying to reach them under “Public Reach-Out” Campaign.

“Interestingly people from the Sogam constituency want Shah Faesal to contest the upcoming Assembly elections from home constitiuency. Our team was overwhelmed by the response from the people who are hoping that Dr. Shah Faesal will work for the common people, find a solution to the vexed Kashmir issue and give them an alternative from the traditional oppressive dynastic politics”, he added

Pertinently, JKPM has launched its ‘Public Reach-out’ campaign on Sunday starting from the frontier district, Kupwara to get to know the people’s grievances, demands and problems. In its first public reach-out, JKPM team visited various villages and held interactions with delegations from 55 villages.

JKPM team comprised of Dr. Shah Faisal, Chasfeda Shah, Shah Mubashir, Dr. Mustafa, Perzada Feroze, Zameer Ahmad Shah, Iqbal Rather, Feroz Wani, Arshid Nazir Paray, Ghulam Ahmad Shah, Nazer Ahmad Khan and Dr. Zahoor Ahmad Bhat.

“This "Reach-out" campaign is primarily focusing on bringing social awareness which is viewed as the precursor for the political revolution that JKPM has envisioned. Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Shah Faesal JKPM will reach out to all the villages and remotest areas of the state to give them a say in determining their future, development and prosperity”, JKPM spokesperson told KNS.
