Iqbal Tahir visits Anantnag villages

Anantnag, Apr 23 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) delegation led by Syed Iqbal Tahir State Executive Member Tuesday visited Chee and Aang villages of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

According to a statement issued to KNS, he interacted with a large section of the people of these villages. The people appraised him about various day to day problems confronting them.

At Chee village, the people complained about the lack of adequate drinking water supply, poor sanitation and shortage of health centres. The people demanded road connectivity between Chee and Aang villages which would further connect these areas with Bijbehara and Pahalgam.

In Aang village, the people highlighted their problems which include inadequate drinking water supply, poor sanitation and lack of waste disposal. They were mainly concerned about lack of health centres in the area. The villagers also complained about absence of proper drainage system in the area.

JKPM delegation assured the villagers that their grievances will be taken up with the district administration for redressal.

Syed Iqbal Tahir said that his party was committed to equitable development of all the areas of the state with main priority to under developed and hither to neglected areas. He said JKPM will ensure development of those areas which have become victim of political vendetta and neglect.

He also assured seek construction of to take up construction of Maharaja road connecting these villages. (KNS)
