Shopian, September 23 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) held a one-day convention of its Shopian constituency at the Circuit House here on Wednesday to discuss party affairs, organisational matters and issues concerning the people.

The convention was chaired by JKNC Additional General Secretary and Member of Parliament Chaudhary Mohammad Ramzan. Provincial President Kashmir Advocate Showkat Ahmad Mir and District President and Wachi MLA Showkat Hussain Ganie were also present.

The convention was organised by former MLA and constituency in-charge Sheikh Raafi Ahmad.

During the meeting, party functionaries held discussions on organisational matters, party programmes and various issues concerning the constituency.

Addressing the gathering, the party leaders asked block presidents, former DDC members, delegates and other functionaries to work with greater dedication for the welfare of the people and strengthen the organisation at the grassroots level.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

They also called for sustained public outreach and urged party workers to maintain regular contact with people and remain responsive to their concerns.

The leaders also highlighted various developmental and governance initiatives undertaken by the Omar Abdullah-led government over the past two years and asked party functionaries to communicate these initiatives and their impact among the people.

The speakers emphasised the need for a strong grassroots organisation and continuous engagement with the public to strengthen the party's organisational structure and serve the people of Jammu and Kashmir.(KNS)
