Anantnag, Dec 06 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Handicapped Association on Thursday observed ‘World Disability Day’ in town hall Anantnag.
Hundreds of specially-abled persons thronged to town hall where the function was being held.
The chief guest of the occasion was Sub judge District Legal Authority Anantnag, Rafia Hassan while as ADC Anantnag Riyaz Ahmad Sofi and Joint Director planning Anantnag, Khursheed Ahmad Khatana were special guests.
President of the association, Ab. Rashid in his welcome address urged government to fulfill genuine demands of specially-abled persons.
Rafia Hassan while addressing a gathering said, “We will try our level best to aware physically challenged people about their rights and duties and as such will provide legal assistance to these people.”
She also encouraged the specially-abled persons and urged them to take full advantages of schemes meant for them.
ADC Anantnag and JD planning also spoke on the occasion. (KNS)
