Srinagar, Mar 08 (KNS): Remembering Lassa Khan, on his death anniversary, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) today said that 87 years old man had shouldered coffins of four sons and two nephews martyred by Indian troops before he passed away on March 6, 2016.
According to the statement issued to KNS, DFP said that a resident of Kokernag area in Anantnag (Islamabad) district late Lassa Khan is and will remain a torch bearer of the resistance movement. Lassa Khan and his brave wife suffered a lot after their sons were martyred one by one however they did not give up their freedom aspirations.
Despite all odds, great Lassa Khan never felt dejected. He always used to feel proud of being father of four sons who laid their lives for the cause of freedom.
Paying homage to the great soul, JKDFP said that such citizens are always gifted from the creator and do not need any appreciation from people as they get rewards from Almighty Allah.
JKDFP said that Kashmiri people are spilling blood only to achieve their cherished goal of freedom for which people like Lassa Khan have sacrificed tremendously and leaders like JKDFP chief Shabir Shah are jailed. (KNS)
