JKAP appoints Mufti Sarwar, cousin of Mehbooba Mufti, as District President Anantnag

Srinagar, 25 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Apni Party (JKAP) has appointed Mufti Mohammad Sarwar as the District President of Anantnag.

The appointment was approved by the Party President, Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari, and formalized through an official order issued from the party’s central office in Srinagar.

Sarwar, a cousin of PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti, joined the Apni Party in July. Before that, he was considered a key influencer within the PDP due to his active role in politics.

His organizational experience and established presence in the district are now likely to help the Apni Party expand its base, consolidate support among voters, and mount a stronger challenge to its rivals in the district.(KNS)
