JK’s Robust Contingent Makes Mark with Ideas and Innovation at National Youth Festival 2026

 Jammu Jan 13 (KNS) ; A vibrant contingent from the Union Territory of J&K groomed by the Directorate of Youth Services and Sports J&K achieved notable success at the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (YBYLD) held during the National Youth Festival 2026 at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. The participation was aligned with the national vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and commemorated the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The delegation, formally sent off by the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of J&K, demonstrated exceptional talent across both the Viksit Bharat Challenge Track and the Cultural & Innovation Track. Over 1.77 lakh youth from the Union Territory engaged in the preliminary digital stages, showcasing widespread enthusiasm.
 
In the Viksit Bharat Challenge, four finalists presented their visionary ideas directly to the Prime Minister of India. The finalists were Suvidha on Innovation with Tradition, Building a Modern Bharat; Kum Kum on Building Future Ready Workforce for Viksit Bharat; Mridul on Fit Bharat, Hit Bharat; and Nitish on Building Sustainable and Green Viksit Bharat.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
The Cultural & Innovation Track saw participation from 5,952 youth at the district level, with 134 advancing to the Union Territory round. Jammu and Kashmir presented performances and exhibits in Folk Dance, Folk Song, Painting, Declamation and Poetry. The Hackathon team from Jammu and Kashmir secured the third national position for its project A.N.T.S., a Disaster Resilient System, developed by team members Salik Aijaz Khan, Saliq Bashir and Adnan Ferdos.
Adding to the achievements, Sheikh Anzar Amin earned a place in the PM Gallery for his invention of an Automatic Gas Regulator for LPG Gas Heaters under the Design for Bharat theme.
 
The 63-member Jammu and Kashmir contingent exemplified the dynamic spirit and innovative potential of the region's youth, actively contributing to the collective journey towards a developed India by 2047. (KNS)
