Srinagar, September 17 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir Cabinet Minister Satish Sharma on Wednesday announced the launch of paperless PVC RC (Registration Certificate) cards and outlined measures to improve transport services in the Union Territory.
Sharma said the PVC RC card will be issued from October 1 onwards. “We have launched the PVC card, which is paperless. This will ensure that all data is available in one place and reduce inconvenience when cards are lost or damaged,” he said.
On transport services, Sharma noted that the government is addressing existing gaps. “There are shortcomings in the transport department, and it will take time to resolve them. Recently, Jammu and Kashmir faced floods and other emergencies. Our priority is to rescue people, provide relief, and begin rehabilitation,” he added.
He further stated that a new transport office will be established alongside the RTO office to provide citizens with all services at a single location.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel“This will reduce difficulties and make services more accessible,” Sharma said.
Referring to discussions with central ministers, he said issues like RC splits and transport-related concerns were raised. “Solutions are expected soon, and the required support will be provided,” he added.
On infrastructure development, Sharma said, “Some repairs will take time, but there can never be two power centers. We expect Delhi to fulfill its commitments. Although delayed, we hope these projects will be completed soon.”
