Ineligible Candidates to be shunted out from final list: Haseeb Drabu

Says no question to allow discrepancy in daily wagers’ regularization process

Srinagar, Jan 27 (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir finance minster Haseeb Drabu on Saturday said the final list of daily wagers’ regularization shall be issued only after the thorough scrutiny and that there is no question of allowing any discrepancy in the process.
Drabu told KNS that the government is examining each and every case intensely and only after the completion of all formalities, the selection list will be made public. “If there are reports that some people have fraudulently been included in this list, it would not be possible for them to sail through. There is a proper procedure being put in place and the person will be regularized only after meeting the requisite criteria,” Drabu told KNS.
The finance minister reiterated that the process of regularization would commence soon after the budget session and that land donors, followed by ITI trainees and others shall be regularized.
When asked over the reports of the total daily wagers’ number getting drastically spiked from 61 thousand to above one lakh, Drabu said the finance department will not allow any discrepancy in the list and that only after a thorough scrutiny, will the orders be issued.
He added that it is likely that the discrepancies might have crept in during the Aadhar verification which the government sought from the daily wagers last year. “But once any candidate is found ineligible, he/ she shall be shunted out and will not be regularized at any cost,” Drabu told KNS. (KNS)
