Srinagar, Oct 12 (KNS): Saluting the intellect of Manan Wani, Jammu Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (JKDFP) today said that “his martyrdom has answered a number of questions and raised many.”
The Spokesperson of JKDFP in a statement issued to KNS said that “martyrdom of promising intellectual Manan Wani has rejected the notion that freedom movement of Kashmir is limited to a particular class only.”
He said that “youth like Manan Wani have proved, rather scripted with their precious blood that Kashmiri people are fighting for their political rights united as a nation. The martyrdom of Manan is also a question for international community as to why are they silent over Kashmir issue?”
Paying rich tributes to Manan Wani and his associate Ashiq Hussain who were killed at a village in Langate area, the spokesperson said that “India could not stand before the pen of Manan so its forces martyred and tried to silent him. But Manan’s message has reached the length and breadth of the globe and people have identified him as a great freedom fighter.”
The spokesperson said that “the ongoing bloodshed in disputed Jammu Kashmir is a big question mark on India whose arrogance and illogical policy vis-a-vis Kashmir is its only cause. Instead of resolving the issue, New Delhi is using every means to kill and crush the people’s voice by killing and jailing people.”
The JKDFP spokesperson paid tributes to pro-freedom activist Tariq Ahmad Ganai of Mimender Shopian who was brutally shot and killed near his home.
He said that “Tariq’s killing is a handiwork of government agencies aimed at instilling terror among the pro-freedom camp.” (KNS)
