If democracy is discussed in US, why it doesn't reach J&K, Says Omar Abdullah in Patna

 Srinagar, June 23 (KNS): Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister and National Conference vice-president Omar Abdullah on Friday said that if democracy is being discussed in America why doesn't it reach Jammu and Kashmir. 

Addressing a press conference after opposition parties meeting in Patna, Omar Abdullah said that that they have come together to save the country from devastation and to bring democracy back. 
He said that he and Mehbooba Mufti, who also attended the meeting in Patna, belong to that part of the country where democracy is murdered
"Yesterday in America there were discussions about democracy in the White House, but why this democracy doesn't reach Jammu and Kashmir," he asked. 
On Friday, 16 opposition parties held a meeting in Patna, which was called by Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar to forge an alliance against the BJP. (KNS)
