IRCTC announces 'Dakshin Bharat Yatra' Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train

 Jammu, Sep 2 (KNS); The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has announced the launch of a special pilgrimage train, the 'Dakshin Bharat Yatra', under the Bharat Gaurav scheme. 

 
The 13-day spiritual journey will commence from Jammu on November 14, 2026, offering devotees a comprehensive tour of prominent South Indian temples.
 
An official release stated that the train will cover major pilgrimage sites including the Shri Ramanathaswamy Temple at Rameswaram, Meenakshi Temple at Madurai, the coastal town of Kanyakumari, Lord Venkateswara Swamy Temple at Tirupati, and Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga Temple at Markapur. 
 
The Bharat Gaurav tourist train will offer boarding facilities at multiple stations including Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Ludhiana, Chandigarh, Ambala, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Delhi Safdarjung, Mathura, Agra, Gwalior, and Jhansi, making it accessible for pilgrims from the northern region.

The Sleeper (Economy) class with 480 berths is priced at Rs 26,895, offering non-AC accommodation and transport. The 3AC (Standard) category with 210 seats is priced at Rs 42,605, while the 2AC (Comfort) category with 50 seats is available for Rs 56,830. All prices are inclusive of GST. 
 
The comprehensive package includes confirmed train tickets, all meals onboard and during the journey, accommodation on double/triple sharing basis, bus transfers, sightseeing, onboard escort, housekeeping, security, and paramedical assistance.
