IPPI: DDC Kupwara reviews arrangements

 

 
KUPWARA, JAN 16 (KNS): District Development Commissioner (DDC), Kupwara, Anshul Garg, today convened a meeting to review arrangements for Intensified Pulse Polio Immunization (IPPI)programme in the district.
 
Among others, Joint Director Planning, Abdul Majeed, Chief Medical Officer, A.G. Dar, Deputy CMO, BMOs and other concerned attended the meeting.
 
The meeting was informed that 130110 children will be immunized in 726 Pulse Polio Immunization (PPI) centres set up across the district. It was given out that 2956 employees have been deployed to implement the programme including 1225 staff from health department, 950 Asha workers, 704 ICDS workers. Besides, 77 NGOs are also taking part in the programme.
 
On the occasion, the DDC directed the concerned to dispatch the vaccines to all the medical blocks and remote areas of the district well in time. He also stressed for conducting a local announcement campaign for the purpose.
 
The Immunization Programme will last for 3 days starting from 19th Januaryto cover children under the age group 0-5 year. Immunization will be provided on first day at IPPI centers while door to door immunization will be provided on next day to cover the left-out children(KNS)
