ICDS employees protest against ‘manhandling’ of officer in Mawer Langate

Kupwara, Aug 02 (KNS): The ICDS supervisor, helpers and workers on Friday staged a protest, demanding probe into the alleged misbehaving and of their officer in Sharhama village of Mawer in Handwara in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

According to KNS Correspondent, reports said the ICDS employees staged protest for four hours at main chowk Langate and were demanding strict action against the accused person.

According to the reports, there was an issue with the post of Anganwari centre at Sharhama Mawer and the CDPO Langate visited the spot and a local namely Gh Mohd Tantray allegedly misbehaved with officer and both went into the argument.

According to the officer, the man was asking him to appoint his close relative in the Anganwari center, which the officer denied.

He also said the man who identified himself as a Sarpanch, which he was not. He further said that he cheated and misbehaved with him.

Later on ADC Handwara, Tehsildar Langate and DO Langate visited the spot and assured the protesters that strict action will be taken against the accused. (KNS)
