Honouring Ceremony Held for Khalid Rafeeq Bhat on Appointment as EJAC Vice-President


Bandipora, June 21 (KNS): The District Body of JKRETTF Bandipora, in coordination with Zonal Presidents from across the district, held a ceremony at the Higher Secondary School Bandipora Auditorium to acknowledge the appointment of Khalid Rafeeq Bhat, Chairman JKRETTF, as Vice-President of the Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC).

The programme was attended by a large number of teachers and representatives from various employee associations. Among the attendees were Wajahat Durrani (President EJAC), Sajad Ahmad Parray (General Secretary EJAC), Mir Bashir Ahmed (Spokesperson EJAC), and heads of various EJAC constituent organisations.

Also present were Rahi Irshad (UT Vice-President JKRETTF), UT members of JKRETTF, Mohammad Yaqoob Bhat (District President JKRETTF Baramulla) with his team, Mushtaq Ahmad Hajam (District President JKRETTF Bandipora) with his team, members of the CPW Association, SRTC Association members, and Zonal Presidents of JKRETTF from Bandipora and Baramulla.

The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Peer Arif and a Naat-e-Pak by Mehraj-Ul-Islam Reshi.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelAshaq Hussain Khan delivered the welcome address, followed by a presentation on the life and work of Khalid Rafeeq Bhat by Hammid Hussain Lone.

Speakers acknowledged Bhat’s role in representing employee issues and his responsibilities within the organisation. A felicitation ceremony was held, during which mementos and a certificate were presented to Bhat.

In his address, Khalid Rafeeq Bhat thanked colleagues and leaders for their support and assured that he would continue to work on employee issues. He acknowledged the trust placed in him by the EJAC leadership.

EJAC President Wajahat Durrani, in his address, spoke on the need to address pending employee issues and reiterated the committee's focus on collective action.

The programme ended with a vote of thanks delivered by Haji Ghulam Hassan Dar. Altaf Hussain Mir served as the moderator of the event. (KNS)
