Hizb pays tribute to slain Kellam militants

Srinagar, Feb 11 (KNS): Hizb-ul-Mujahideen on Monday paid tributes to five militants who were killed in a gunfight that raged between forces and militants in Kellam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Sunday.
In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, Hizb spokesman, Saleem Hashmi while quoting the outfit chief, Syed Salah-ud-din as terming the slain militants as their ‘heroes’, saying that “their sacrifices won’t go waste.”
Hizb chief further condemned the use of pellets and force on civilians in Kellam area, and said “the use of forces against the civilians, killings and arrests will never suppress the freedom sentiments of Kashmiris.”
“Kashmiris will continue the struggle of their freedom for which they have been sacrificing from past 70 years,” he said.
According to the statement, Hizb Deputy Chief, Saifullah Khalid also paid tributes to the slain Kellam militants and said “the slain militants refused to surrender while fighting with the forces and preferred to sacrifice their lives.”
He said that “India by using tactics is trying to divert the attention of world community but Kashmiris didn’t allow the tactics to get succeed.”
Meanwhile, the statement added that Hizb field operational commander Muhammad bin Qasim also paid tributes to the slain militants and said that “blood of slain won’t go in vain.”
“People have resolved that the struggle will continue till any logical conclusion,” he said. (KNS)
