While expressing his dismay over the failure of the state government to provide better facilities to the Hajj Pilgrims of Jammu and Kashmir in the holly cities of Makkah and Madina, said it was obligatory on the part of state and central Hajj Committees to ensure foolproof arrangements for the Hajj Pilgrims and to provide better facilities to them in lieu of hefty amounts paid by them. He said it was the duty government to make pilgrimage of the Hajj Pilgrims comfortable adding that it was most unfortunate that the pilgrims from the Kashmir have been subjected to great inconveniences and hardships at both the holly cities.

“One of the Advisors of the Governor was already enjoying his visit to Makkah and he seems to be least bothered about the cries of inconveniences and hardships being faced by the Hajj pilgrims of Kashmir,” Hakeem Yaseen observed.

He appealed to Governor Satya Pal Malik to personally intervene and take up the matter with the concerned higher authorities so that grievances of Hajj pilgrims are redressed earnestly. (KNS)
