Srinagar, Mar 15 (KNS): Former Revenue Minister and Chairman Peoples Democratic Front (PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has strongly condemned barbaric killing of about 45 worshippers in a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand on Friday demanding that the perpetrators of this heinous crime should be given an exemplary punishment.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hakeem Yaseen while condemning the killing of innocent worshippers in a mosque in Christchurch, New Zealand has said that killing of human beings in its any manifestation was against tenants of all religions. He said killing of innocent people, anywhere in the world, has no place in a civilized society.
Hakeem Yaseen has urged the need to curb growing right wing extremism and fanaticism with heavy hands. He said non violence and patience are the best tools to bring peace in the trouble torn world where materialism has eaten vitals of humanity and humility.
“Made race for power and money has overshadowed the world of morality and values besides usurping the people's right to live with peace and consolation,” Hakeem Yaseen added. (KNS)
