Hakeem Yaseen calls on Governor

Urges for holding both Assembly, Parliament elections in state simultaneously


Jammu, Jan 21 (KNS): Chairman PDF Hakeem Yaseen today met Governor S P Malik at Rajbhawan, Jammu and discussed various matters of public importance. He asked the Governor to conduct both Assembly and Parliament elections in the state simultaneously.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hakeem Yaseen said that holding of both Assembly and Parliament elections in the state simultaneously will be in the larger interests of the state especially for tourist season which begins from the month March.
He also urged the Governor to provide better safety to the minorities in the state especially Gujjar and Bakerwal community who are reeling under an environment of fear. He said Governor Administration should ensure that every citizen especially minorities live peacefully in a safe and secure environment.
Hakeem Yaseen also asked the Governor to sanction Government Degree colleges in Hardpanzoo and Soibug in district Budgam which are populous and educationally backward areas where students have no college facilities to get higher education. (KNS)
