Gulzar Ahmad Wani Rejoins PDP, Boosts Party in South Kashmir

Srinagar, June 19, (KNS): Former legislator Gulzar Ahmad Wani has rejoined the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), marking a major boost to the party’s presence in South Kashmir. A founding member of the PDP and close associate of the late Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, Wani’s return is seen as a step toward strengthening grassroots support in the region.

Wani played a key role in shaping the PDP’s vision during its early years and served as a Member of the Legislative Assembly from Shangus. He is widely respected for his strong public connect and resilience, having survived a mine blast during his political career.
