Srinagar, Apr 13 (KNS): Pitching for the unanimous efforts for safeguarding of the country’s constitution, Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary has said that never since India’s independence has the constitution faced such an imminent threat as it faces today.

Kadfeen said that the biggest tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his birth anniversary, which is being celebrated today, would be to resolve that attempts to undermine the importance of the Constitution will be thwarted with unanimous efforts.

Kadfeen said that the smear campaign launched against the minorities and Dalits in India is deeply worrying and the majoritarianism is a threat menacingly looming large over the horizon in a most dreadful manner in the country.

According to the Congress leader, it is today when open claims of changing Constitution of the country are being made by the fanatic groups that the people should unite to give such elements a befitting reply. He said that the real and everlasting tribute to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar would be to stand united and make secular forces invincible so that an era of inclusivity is restored and every citizen irrespective of cast, creed, religion and region would enjoy equal respect and treatment.
