Govt’s Decision Not to Declare Holiday on Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) Deeply Hurts Sentiments of Muslims: Aga Syed Hassan Al-Mosavi Al-Safavi

Srinagar, Sept 5 (KNS): President of Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian Jammu and Kashmir, Aga Syed Hassan Al-Mosavi Al-Safavi, in his Friday sermon today, expressed deep concern and firm conviction while strongly condemning the government’s decision of not declaring a holiday on the sacred occasion of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW).

In a statement issued, Aga Sahab said that Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW), the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, is not an ordinary day but one of the greatest and most blessed days in the Islamic calendar. It is the day when the mercy to mankind, the Seal of Prophets, Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him & His Progeny), was born. He emphasized that this day holds unparalleled significance for the Muslim Ummah, and no compromise can be made when it comes to religious principles and sacred occasions.

He further stated that the government’s negligence and ignorance towards such an important day deeply hurts the sentiments of the Muslim community.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp ChannelA holiday on this occasion, he said, is not a demand of luxury but a matter of respect and recognition for the Prophet (SAWW), whose teachings form the foundation of peace, justice, and humanity.

Aga Syed Hassan Al-Mosavi Al-Safavi urged the authorities to reconsider this decision immediately and acknowledge the importance of this blessed day by declaring it a public holiday. He reminded that respecting religious occasions is the responsibility of every just government and that the feelings of the people must not be ignored.

In conclusion, he called upon the community to remain steadfast, united, and firm in safeguarding their religious values, ensuring that the sanctity of Eid-e-Milad-un-Nabi (SAWW) is preserved and honored in its true spirit. (KNS)
