Srinagar, Sep 2 (KNS): Senior politician Bilal Gani Lone on Wednesday expressed solidarity with protesting medical interns in Jammu and Kashmir, who are seeking an enhancement in their monthly stipend.

Lone said the young doctors are working under extremely challenging conditions and remain among the first responders in the healthcare system.

He urged the government to engage with the protesting doctors and resolve their concerns at the earliest.

Lone said the contribution of medical interns should be acknowledged and their demands addressed through meaningful dialogue.
