'People are feeling disappointed'

Srinagar, Feb 09 (KNS): Senior Congress Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday today blamed ruling dispensation for ignoring people in respect of essentials like kerosene, sugar, electricity, drinking water etc, saying that people are feeling disappointed over the way PDP BJP is ruling the state, as a result people are in great distress while having lost faith in the ruling dispensation.
In a statement issued to KNS, Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday, who was also Party Candidate in 2014 Elections from Shopian Constituency lashed out at ruling dispensation for denying basic rights to people, as a result, people were suffering badly on account of adequate supply of electricity, essentials, road connectivity people were entitled for.
He said people were confronted with multiple problems, but no one from the Government is available to listen to their grievances, this is ironical that despite finding solution or taking measure to address people’s concern, State Government is busy in making tall based on falsehood thereby compromising on the issues concerning people.
Khanday expressed serious concern over the misrule and mis-governance on the part of PDP BJP emphasized that both parties must stop misleading people under the garb of development and urged upon the Government to take effective measures to reach out to people to address their genuine concerns.
Adding that Govt must respond to genuine demands of people, Khanday asked the Government to seek details from the Administration with the regard availability of essentials and other facilities required by the people, so that timely measures are taken to resolve the problems.
Referring to South Kashmir especially Shopian District Khanday accused the Government of ignoring people of the district in every respect and cautioned that such step- motherly attitude with Shopian will lead to alienation of the people to a largest extent, for which ruling dispensation will be fully responsible.
