Srinagar, Nov 28 (KNS): Former Minister and DNP president Ghulam Hassan Mir has condemned thrashing of Kashmiri jail inmates in Tihar Jail by the jail authorities and demanded action into the incident.
Talking to KNS, Mir said that the act is uncalled for and the persons involved in the thrashing of the inmates should be dealt with law.
He said that any inmate in the jail is innocent till proven guilty and the jai authorities are responsible for providing all the facilities to the inmates rather than beating them.
“This act is uncalled for and does not suit the democratic credentials of the country. Action should be taken against the persons involved in thrashing of prisoners,” he said. (KNS)
