Srinagar, Jun 12 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir has emphasized the Governor S.P. Malik to address the genuine demands of the transporters, as that, the transporters have suffered immensely due to situation in valley since three decades.

In a statement issued to KNS, G.A. Mir said that transporters have suffered immensely, the levying of toll tax, besides installing hi tech system in their vehicles will put them to further losses.

He said the other genuine demands of the transporters like document renewal of commercial vehicle, besides speedy renewals and documents verification etc have not been fulfilled so far, the Government must concentrate on those issues and find solution to these problems, Mir said.

“I would strongly emphasize the Governor S.P Malik to address the genuine demands of the transporters to ensure they are able to carry on their day to day activities,” Mir added

While extending full support to transporters, Mir said one day strike by transporters have caused extensive inconvenience to the common people, Govt must address the demands of the transporters to avoid further strikes in future. (KNS)
