Loss of lives heart wrenching, tragic: CLP Leader

Srinagar Sep 05 (KNS) : Congress Legislature Party (CLP) Leader & AICC General Secretary Gulama Ahmad Mir on Thursday called on Chief Minister, Himachal Pradesh and sought his immediate intervention into the evacuation and rescue measures for the safety of Kashmiri laborers, who were trapped due to the landslide.

In a statement issued, Both Mir and the Chief Minister expressed grief over the loss of lives, expressing their heartfelt condolences and solidarity with the bereaved families.

After the tragic incident of landslides that struck various parts in Himachal Pradesh especially in Kullu district, CLP Leader (J&K) Ghulam Ahmad Mir called on Chief Minister (HP) Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, apprising him about the condition of Kashmiri Laborers and sought his immediate intervention into their timely evacuation, relief & rescue measures, which was done by the Govt of HP on war footing basis.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Due to the timely intervention of the Chief Minister, the trapped laborers were shifted to safer places where they were given first aid, accommodation, food and other facilities. HP CM also assured Mir of early deportation of slain persons from Himachal Pradesh.

Mir expressed gratitude to the Chief Minister and hailed swift action, at the sametime, CLP Leader also expressed grief over the devastation caused to properties and loss of lives in Himachal due to the catastrophe and expressed solidarity with the CM and people of HP.(KNS)
