Former bureaucrat Farooq Shah joins NC

Srinagar, Feb 25 (KNS): Former bureaucrat Farooq Ahmad Shah (IAS) joined National Conference along with his supporters on Monday 5n presence of party’s president Dr. Farooq Abdullah and its Vice President Omar Abdullah and others.
Pertinently, Farooq shah had served at many key portfolios in the state and had recently opted for an early retirement.
Welcoming Shah into the party fold Dr. Farooq said, “The party will definitely benefit from the experience of Farooq Shah in public life. His acumen for administration will benefit the party,” adding, “I am hopeful that Shah Sahib will make the party stronger at grass roots.”
Vice president Omar Abdullah while welcoming Farooq Shah into the party fold said, “Shah Sahib have had a celebrated career. He has always lent helping hand to needy and poor. I am sure he will continue to work for the cause of poor masses from the party platform,” he said.
On the occasion, Farooq Shah maintained that the sincerity of thought of the party’s vice president; the history of service and sacrifice of the party obliged him to join National Conference. He vowed to take forward the mission of Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Muhammad Abdullah. “I will work alongside the party’s rank and file in ensuring that the party’s flag flies high in the Tangmarg Constituency,” he said.
